Terms and responsibility

Terms

What this website is, what it is not, and where the line sits between the connection made here and the job agreement you make with a provider.

Draft pending professional review

These terms are drafting assistance, not legal advice. Professional review status: not started. No liability waiver or exclusion has been invented.

Definitions

What this website does

It takes a description of a concrete cutting job and connects it with a local provider suited to that work. That is the service. Reading a page, using the checklists on it, or making a phone call does not create a job agreement, and does not oblige anyone to carry out work.

Nothing here confirms that a described job can be done, that a provider is available in a given location, or what the work will cost. Those are settled between you and a provider.

Your agreement is with the provider

This is the part worth reading twice.

Australian Consumer Law rights apply to your dealings with the provider regardless of what any website says, and nothing here limits them.

Provider screening

Providers are screened on their Google rating — 4.5 or above — before they are connected to a job.

That describes the threshold applied before a provider is connected to a job. It is not a warranty of a provider's work, a statement about their current rating at any later moment, or a recommendation that removes your own judgement. Satisfying yourself about a provider before agreeing to work remains sensible and remains yours to do.

Scope of work described

The pathways described are core drilling, floor sawing, wall sawing, and hand and ring sawing. The following are outside the scope of this website and are not part of what is connected:

This website does not determine whether an element is structurally safe to cut, does not locate services, and does not assess or handle hazardous materials. Those are matters for appropriately qualified parties engaged for that purpose, and they sit outside both this website and a provider's cutting scope unless that provider separately agrees otherwise.

Using this website

Cost of the connection

There is no fee to you for being connected with a provider. You pay the provider for the work they carry out, on the terms you agree with them.

Governing law

Not yet stated

A governing-law clause has not been included, because it should be settled with a legal adviser rather than asserted. The operation is described as being in Queensland, Australia.
